About Us
Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club
Established 1997 | Professionalism with Purpose
Soltilo Bright Stars FC is more than just a football club; it is a symbol of hope, a hub for talent, and a bridge to professional excellence. Founded by Abdallah Kafeero as a grassroots academy for U-12 to U-18 age groups, the club was born from a powerful mission: to provide the youth of Kawempe with the right to dream through the beautiful game.
Our Journey Through the Ranks
From our humble beginnings in the Kawempe Area Second Division, the club has undergone a meteoric rise through the tiers of Ugandan football, defined by a “never-say-die” spirit:
- 2004–2007: Formative years in the 5th and 4th tiers.
- 2010–2011: Dominance in the Kampala Regional League, earning promotion in just one season.
- 2011–2013: Competed in the FUFA Big League, culminating in a historic promotion to the top flight.
- 2013–Present: A mainstay in the Uganda Premier League (UPL). We have evolved into established competitors, notably reaching the Uganda Cup Final in 2019.
The Soltilo Era: A Global Partnership
In 2017, Japanese football icon Keisuke Honda, through Soltilo Uganda Limited, acquired a majority stake. Rebranded as Soltilo Bright Stars FC, the club entered a new era of professional management and international standards. Under a dedicated board, we blend local passion with global expertise to develop the next generation of African stars.
